Mapufacture stores many type of geographic sources: Feeds from Blogs, KML, or GoogleEarth, Geolocated Webpages, Map Tiles, and more. Any source in Mapufacture is usable in a map, and is also converted to several formats that may be useful. Be sure to read our geoblogging information for how to easily add location to your blog or page. When you add a Source to Mapufacture, you just need to register the URL with us. Once you add the Feed or File, we will continuously update the source. So if you register a blog feed with Mapufacture, we'll check frequently to see if there is a new post. For files such as KML we'll check to see if there has been a change, and if so we'll update our copy of it. That way you don't have to keep telling us the file has been updated. To add a Source, go to our New Source page. Enter the URL for the blog, RSS feed or KML document and click "Add". Mapufacture will then check the source, determine its type and start importing it. Once we've added the source to our system, then you can begin tagging the source, or using it Maps. We'll automatically update the maps using it when the feed is finished being imported. |
